FFP Gear Review - Patagonia Deep Wading Jacket
- Also SST Well you better show up with the right gear. Shell? Jacket? This is what you have been waiting for. The gear review that we all can value! I decided on the Patagonia shell, the Deep Wading Jacket. I really love winter fishing and you have to have the right layers to survive. I am all about Capilene, fleece, microfiber shirts so I do not need a heavy duty insulated shell. I simply need the wind , rain and snow away from me. This jacket is the ticket. Sits high for deep wading, pockets- hand and big chest pockets for fly boxes, loops for zingers and… Did I mention the hood. Do you drive anything without a hood? This one has it and mix that adjustable hood with a toboggan and you are on a roll. If you have any hiking or walk in. You will be warm!! Bottom line…because I am a bottom line guy. Whether Patagonia, Simms, Orvis, Columbia, the wading jacket (shell) is a weapon you need in your arsenal and you cannot go wrong with either Patagonia product.
I have buddies, Spreadsheet, LSU and the rest who really like their vests. They are all personalized and s---t!! But the bottom line is they hurt my back. And neck. And they are hot. CALL IN FISHPOND!! The Waterdance has met its calling. This is s sweet pack!! Convertible chest and waist…waist only here, this bad boy is durable, dries quickly, has great compartments and will help you outfish those….vest wearers. Damn those vest wearers. I digress. This really is a functional pack that straps tight on hikes, really balances the weight on your hips and back and is the one to spend your $ 89.00 on. Long Live Fishpond!! |
